It's all been an excuse to do web design work so not to be taken too seriously.

Some professional related pages include a resume, information for my students and their parents about classes I teach, and sub sites for my students to post their web pages as they learn the basics of web page design.

The Autumn Star domain is the ultimate personal web site. If traffic is good, it is because the content is worthwhile for return visits. Autumn Star is testimonial to the notion that there really is a niche (albet non-profit) for web sites that are advertising-free.
Some of Autumn Star projects have been useful to others, such as Solano Links. Such sites are available at the Autumn Star home page. They've been maintained regularly and provide an on-going motivation for skill development. Some projects have proven to be personally rewarding in addition to useful, such as the family genealogy pages online. That project has brought contacts which have helped to extend my family tree a few hundred years. So far, I'm pleased to provide web pages which spare visitors the nuisances of flashing promotions, god-awful sponser windows and cookies which try to extract your email addresses to bombard you later with spam.
Over the years, as design skills have improved and the software/hardward investments increased, the sub-sites have improved at a variety of levels.
This area is more personal and holds little interest except for friends, family and the idle surfer looking for ideas, "fresh ideas" being a relative concept.
With the exception of the favorite movies, these pages have not been redesigned in years and show it. And updates may be few and far between at this point.
